Pigtrop - Le centre d'information sur l'élevage porcin et les filières porcines des pays du Sud

Be-troplive is an informal and multidisciplinary platform, which is open to institutional or individual members involved in tropical animal health and production activities.

Potential members are:

• Belgian academic institutions and research institutes
• Belgian development organisations, NGO's and study bureau's
• Belgian government and parastatal services involved in development in general, and tropical animal health and production in particular
• Individuals involved in tropical animal health and production activities

Target groups are:

Interested alumni of postgraduate courses of Belgian universities or academic institutions, active in a Belgian context, experts of NGO's, VVOB-APEFE, Universities, BTC, attachés of the Belgian Development Cooperation, academic and scientific staff of Belgian universities, NGO, DGCD and BTC headquarters, scientific staff of Belgian research bodies (e.g. Pasteur Institute, the Veterinary and Agrochemical Research Centre, …), experts involved in international cooperation, independent experts, interested individuals active in other (European, international) organizations, ex-experts who are integrated and working in the Belgian society (e.g. Ministries of agriculture, Federal Agency for Food Safety, …), retired experts acting as advisors or consultants, ...

Currently, Be-troplive reaches approximately 130 e-mail addresses and about 40 organizations and institutions.
