Cysticercose Porcine dans le Département de la Ménoua (Ouest-Cameroun).
Abstract
Two trials to infect pigs experimentally with eggs of T. solium were carried out in Dschang. The first experiment failed because the T. solium eggs were probably too old and had been preserved in sub-optimal conditions. In a second trial twelve piglets younger were orally infected with different doses (1000, 10000 and 100000) of freshly collected eggs. Although the experiment is still going on, circulating antigens have been demonstrated six weeks post-infection in all 4 piglets infected with 100000 eggs and in half of the piglets infected with 10000 and 1000 T. solium eggs.
